Ghoral AI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Ghoral AI website and Chrome extension. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

• Account information: Your email address when you create an account.
• Uploaded content: Audio, video, PDF, and document files you upload for note generation. These files are deleted from our servers immediately after processing.
• Generated notes: The study notes produced from your uploads are stored in your account so you can access them later. You can delete them at any time.
• Usage data: Basic usage information such as number of notes generated, to enforce plan limits.
• Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Chrome extension

The Ghoral AI Chrome extension reads page text and highlighted text only when you explicitly click "Summarize This Page" or the "Explain" button. Page content is sent to our backend solely to generate a summary or explanation for you. We do not store, share, or sell any webpage content you process through the extension.

How we use your data

• To provide the Ghoral AI service (note generation, study plans, AI chat).
• To maintain your account and enforce subscription limits.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data to train AI models.

Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication and database storage.
• OpenAI / Anthropic / Google — AI processing of your uploaded content. Content is sent to these services only to generate your notes and is not retained by them for training.
• Stripe — payment processing.

Data retention

Uploaded files are deleted immediately after processing. Generated notes are retained until you delete them or close your account. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Your rights

You can delete any note from your dashboard at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
